Ginkgo und japanische Kirsche, ein Denkmal für den legendären Origami-Kranich, haben ihn zu einem beliebten Treffpunkt werden lassen. Hast Du den Tag im Park genossen oder im Winter mollig eingepackt Deine Runden gedreht, sind es nur 5 Autominuten oder ein Viertelstündchen mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln, bis Du bei uns typisch japanische Spezialitäten genießen kannst. Edamame mit fein salzig-nussigem Geschmack beispielsweise oder Gyoza, Yakitori auf Salat und natürlich unsere beliebten Nigiri und Maki. Alle Speisen werden frisch und hochwertig nach traditionellen japanischen Rezepten zubereitet. Dazu servieren wir Dir gern eine hausgemachte Limonade oder ein schmackhaftes BioZisch, japanisches Bier oder auch ein Kölsch.
So. 1 star. You don't just do it like that. Ordered at 5:00 p.m. for 6:30 p.m. The food arrives at 19:00. It can happen, but it shouldn't if you deliver food professionally. Especially when ordering 90 minutes in advance. The hit: the supplier? Sympathetic guy! Trying to understand, he answers the question about the responsibility for the delay with: "Boaaa, eat your food" At my puzzled look then damage control, sorry, etc. It's so over the top that I'm just sitting here laughing? No matter how the food will taste now: Last Dance, Bento Box ;-)
Already borders hard on cheating what you're doing there. With you, the consumer and guest are apparently deliberately misled. You advertise on your own website with a picture that shows a double serving of "Friends Mix" for 28 euros. Above is the description of what belongs in the box, but not everyone reads it through. Especially not when you're hungry. And Bentobox probably knows that too. I don't want to talk about price performance, but the profit margin will be quite orbital. Because you still charge 1 euro delivery costs, despite almost 30 euros in sales. In terms of quality, it is on the lower level of sushi. Fresh? Probably, but everything tastes bland and the rice hardly has the typical sushi rice taste. PS. Since we are a shared apartment and someone has already ordered from you before (without the rest of us knowing), it is now double confirmed that neither the taste nor price / performance is right with you. Addendum 8.1.2020: - I knew there was a pointless comment from the owner. The accusation of fake. Classic... Tell me why should I just give a fake review? What reasons should I have against you other than the ones I have given? Are you talking about bad food at overpriced prices? Dear owner, with your fake accusation, just because you don't like my honest review, you only make things worse ... There is no reason for me to speak badly and give you a "fake rating". And no, I don't have to reveal my identity, and anonymity doesn't make myself unbelievable! Just read through the other bad reviews. That coincides with what I wrote. Now, after the owner's fake accusation, I add what I benevolently refrained from mentioning: I had to reheat my food when it got to my home. And my "ramen" was partially leaked in the bag. You cheated on me of my money. Ordered once, never again! I had food delivered to my home for over 20 euros. "Ramen": That was a better instant noodle soup with tasteless tofu, some prawns in it (only a few, of course, because they're expensive aren't they?), And boring vegetables. I had to tip half of it away. And that for over 11 euros! Maki Tuna Sushi: It was edible, but rather bland. No enjoyment. Hardly better than from the supermarket. Gyoza dumplings: Filled with cheap chicken. I hope I won't soon regret that I didn't throw them away ... After "eating" I first brushed my teeth and used mouthwash. You don't want to offer good food, you only think about the coal and want to sell scrap to your customers. And save the words / answers to this comment like: "We are sorry that you were dissatisfied, we will work to eliminate the deficiencies ..." or similar. And pretend innocent, you know exactly what you are serving to people! Don't you have a guilty conscience about dragging Japanese cuisine into the mud?
Was very disappointed. Despite ordering in advance, with just under 3 hours' lead time, the food was delivered far too late. Also there was no apology or a cola or something. Well, so be it. Then the delivery unpacked (see photo), everything has expired. Very annoying. In addition, not only has the service but also the quality of the food deteriorated. The broth of the starter with tofu tasted like dish water. An addendum: I personally called the restaurant. So much for making personal contact.
Ordered today, we were very disappointed, the salmon was way too dry, the chicken was dry and hard, not very appetizing, in general it wasn't freshly prepared and grottos tasted bad. In addition, there is the far too long waiting time, 1.5 hours. For 60 euros you expect fresh food! Not again!
28 € for one of the “friendsbox” are simply outrageous! One person is fed up with it and can only be rated with bad experiences in relation to other restaurants and the service! Unfortunately not again :(

Underground bad! We had ordered from Bento Box. The food was delivered cold, although I live 300 meters next door. The ramen had nothing to do with ramen. Taste is subjective but it was inedible and went down the drain. Pity! Addendum: I also find it very, very unfortunate that I only heard you say “I'll pass this on” on the phone. So much for that I haven't contacted you guys.

Hi, I've been a long-term customer of Bento Box Cologne-West. So far I have also been very satisfied, even if the order was never on time, even before Corona. Both wasabi and ginger have always been under-supplied. Yesterday I ordered sushi again for just under € 50.00 and the messenger even got a tip, as always. Unfortunately only 2 small packets of soy sauces were included. And of course once more wasabi and a little ginger, I'm used to nothing else here. I called again and asked why they are so stingy with the sauces etc. ?? A young guy named Nico (very cheeky) said himself that it was not enough for this order, but neither apology nor any other solution, maybe call the driver directly, it could be that he has a few soy sauces in the car. Instead, he wished and hung up in a cheeky tone! That was the last order from Bento Box !! Price performance quality is no longer right. My edamams were cold, ebi tempura as well and the rest was very dry! I thought I ordered a rice plate. There are enough other sushi shops in Cologne !! @bentobox: Don't apologize, it's too late !! You lost another customer !!
Delicious, yakiniku rice bowl is delicious. I want to use sushi as well. Take-out delivery is also fast.
Delivery times of up to 2 hours suggest that Ess is not fast food. But don't let that fool you. For the prices they're not that good! If you like Asian tofu, you should compete here! Warm dishes are of course no longer warm when traveling. But I'm sure my meal enjoyed the tour! I finally paid for it! Cheers ...
If you only like very salty food that only tastes salty and also like to wait for your ToGo, this is the perfect place. Unfortunately, only the characters on the entrance and the menu are Japanese. So highly recommended except for the dishes.

Good sushi, to take away, always on time when ordering, always ask for extra ginger ?
In terms of taste, it was unfortunately just ok. The sushi was ice cold and seems to have already been prepared. Ordered today at around 1 p.m. for 5 p.m., but still waited 20 minutes to take the order. Overall very disappointing, we prefer to stay with Sushi Ninja.

I should actually give 0 stars. Impossible how the page is structured, so that you are forced to "wrong orders" !! 2 skewers and a few fried ones what do I know what for 9.10 € ???? And what should half the nigiri be ?? Impossible !!
I had Bento Box sushi delivered to my home and have to say that I was 100% satisfied. The sushi is fresh and very tasty, little rice a lot of content! The delivery arrived on time * - * would always like to order there again.
The perfect Sunday afternoon or dinner meal with a fair price/value ratio. Sushi is always fresh, but I recommend the lovely bowls, such as Yakiniku or Cha Han. Room for improvement: faster delivery and adding Sriracja Sauce to the beef dishes.
A good place to get nice Japanese food. You will find various options to choose from, including ramen and sushi. The Restaurant looks nice and the vibe is really chill. The staff was really friendly. I'm surely going back!

Good looking place with a nice interior design, they only had menus in german but the friendly waiter thankfully spoke spanish to help us out, we ordered the salmon teriyaki and a sushi box that were both very tasty and fresh. Overall a good place.
Service was good. Food was good too. Tables were a bit dirty since it looks like someone didnt cleaned after it was use but waiter notice and came right away to clean. There is a lot of choices in the menu.
Service is really really bad. They have only one waitres ( and a invisible man) and she took our orders wrong.Bier ist not enough cold( we give a chance everytime but it is not changed) Sushi is good as always ,you should try Ebi tempura one of our favorite, but im sorry service unaccepptable at this brunch..

Slow! Rude waitres! Too expensive for what they offer
After several attempts, we are finally disappointed. We ordered here a couple of times and nearly every time something went wrong. Usually they are much too late or they lost something of the order. I guess this time it was the last try; we had to wait nearly two hours. However, although we are really disappointed, the food has mostly a high level of quality, so despite of the poor service, it is worth giving two stars
